Jeff
Smith is the author of The
KPI Book and is regarded by many as one
of the world's leading business improvement strategists.
He is particularly well known for his ability to convey
complex information into jargon busting, plain English that
everyone understands. Speaking at conferences,
you'll often hear him say:

then you can't make a positive change in the workplace.
Clarity is Power."
As well as
being one of the Motor Industry's top trainers and consultants,
in 1999 he became a founder member of the Professional Speakers
Association of Europe and has appeared many times as a Motor
Industry expert on Sky Television.
Jeff Smith
has a career that spans more than 25 years within the Motor
Industry. He has progressed through the Sales Department
to become Dealer Principal and then to Divisional Director
within a retail motor group. He followed this by becoming
an Author, Consultant and Trainer to the Motor Industry
and during this time he's worked with many manufacturers
developing their profit improvement programmes for New Vehicle
Sales, Used Vehicle Sales, Aftersales and Business Management
for Directors, Dealer Principals and Line Managers.
As well
as speaking at conferences and product launches around the
world, Jeff continues to work with manufacturers developing
training courses for their dealer networks and he also runs
open training courses and bespoke in-house programmes for
individual dealerships and major groups.
Jeff is the
author of the industry world-wide #1 best seller, The
KPI Book which has
sold in excess of 25,000 copies world-wide and has also
been translated into French.
In 2003 he
wrote How
To Make More Profit With Your Service Department
and in 2009 he wrote Management
Accounts Made Easy, both of which sold out of
the initial print runs before they were published; such
is the popularity of his work.
Nowadays
he says that his life is more about contribution to the
Motor Industry so he's planning on writing more books to
compliment the series. In addition to this, he also writes
a monthly best practice newsletter called
Profit
Builder which you can obtain free of
charge by email - Jeff has been writing Profit Builder
free of charge for more than 8 years.
Although
he is an Author, Consultant and Trainer, he is particularly
proud of the fact that he has "done the job himself"
very successfully before he came into the world of training
and he therefore has a unique perspective on the industry.
He doesn't
teach theory; he teaches practical applications that improve
profitability in the real world.
